Abstract

A high deflecting transonic cascade designed for the rotor blade of a HP turbine has been investigated thoroughly in the cascade wind tunnel of DLR Goettingen. The measurements have been carried out at several locations along the blade span, what allowed for an analysis of a secondary flow effects. A method for the secondary flows suppression has been proposed and the experimental results are discussed.
