Kurzfassung
Flight tests with a A320 fin represent an important milestone of the Laminar Technology Programme LATEC which has been established by the Airbus partners. These flight tests have been split up into 2 parts: a reference flight campaign performed in spring 1995 and a campaign with a HLF finscheduled for the year 1997. A measuring techniques concept was developed to investigate several aspects of hybrid laminar flow control under a variety of flight conditions. The available measuring methods had to be adapted to the environment of a comparatively large civil aircraft. Special requirements resulted from the integration of advanced test equipment in the board system. In accordance to the target of laminarflow technology, the reduction of skin friction, the experimental investigations were focussed on the instability process in the boundary layer and measurements related to drag reduction. The application of hot film anemometry and infrared thermography.
