Abstract
Das Deutsche Seenotrufsystem hat nunmehr entscheidene Hürden für die weltweite Einführung genommen. Aufgrund zweier wichtiger Beschlüsse internationaler Organisationen wird es künftig ein weites Seenot-Alarmierungsverfahren geben, welches die Bezeichnung Inmarsat-E erhaelt und aus deutscher Entwicklung stammt. Die hervorragenden Ergebnisse der seit 1986 laufenden präoperationellen Demonstration hat zu dieser erfreulichen Entwicklung wesentlich beigetragen.
