Abstract

In this study we exploit the potentiality of multi-frequency multi-pass interferometry be considering the SIR-C/X-SAR data related to the Mt. Etna area, Sicily, Italy. We present a new algorithm for the generation of IFSAR DEMs. It is based on the use of the multifrequency information for improving the performance of the phase unwrapping procedure. The generation of an accurate DEM is carried out via an optimal fusion of the multifrequency absolute phases. A novel algorithm for geolocation and geocoding is also presentd.
