Abstract
The Space Technologies Department of the Marmara Research Centre is active in the fields of microwave technology, radio astronomy and remote sensing. This report reviews the activities in the area of microwave remote sensing in the light of the goals of the research centre, the needs of Turkey, the wish to participate in international projects and the prospects for finding funds for future work.
