Abstract

The paper reviews some essential features of the physical optics method and demonstrates the need to correct this method by an additional edge diffracted field. For this purpose the method of fringe equivalent currents is selected and combined with physical optics. The efficientcy of this procedure is estimated by analysing some significant test objects.
