On the Use of the Ideal Filter Concept for Improving SAR Image Quality.

Moreira, A. and Misra, T. (1995) On the Use of the Ideal Filter Concept for Improving SAR Image Quality. Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, Vol. 9, No. 3, 1995., pp. 407-420. VSP, Utrecht, Holland.

Abstract

The paper proposes an ideal filter concept to reduce azimuth ambiguities and/or to remove SAR transceiver chain errors which influence the range impulse response function. The ideal filter provides, in addition to the matched filtering, the deconvolution of phase and amplitude errors.
