Abstract

The radar signature models SIGMA (monostatic) and BISTRO (bistatic) are based on the physical optics (PO) and the physical theory of diffraction. The state of development of both computercodes is explained. The tools for validation - theoretical andexperimental ones - andthe results are presented in detail. Results of the two models are demonstrated for a rough sea surface, a flat plate over the sea surface, a vessel and a periscope.
