Abstract
Hochaufloesende, abbildende Radarsensoren, sowohl im Weltraum als auch in der Luft liefern Bilder hoher Qualitaet, unabhaengig vom Wetter und von der Tageszeit. Es wird die Nuetzlichkeit solcher Sensoren fuer die Verifikation der Abruestung diskutiert. Als Beispiele werden das Synthetik-Apertur-Radar (SAR) des ERS-1 Satelliten und die zukuenftig geplanten SAR-Sensoren fuer Open-Skies-Flugzeuge herangezogen.
