Abstract

The paper will present a statistical and microphysical analysis of polarimetric weather radar signatures. In particular, these aspects will be emphasized with reference to: differential reflectivity, linear depolarisation ratio, correlation factor, the argument of the average complex correlation between horizontally and vertically polarised echoes, and the Doppler phase.
