Abstract

Future planning in the frame of the 'Mission to Planet Earth' goes towards multi-sensor systems on spaceborne platforms (EOS). System studies based on airborne SAR data are required to define the system configuration of a future X-band SAR sensor on EOS well matched to the applications. Therefore, the Institut fuer Hochfrequenztechnik of DLR started with a redesign of their E-SAR system for polarimetric SAR measurements in X-band.
