Abstract
The article gives a survey of the available multipurpose ground infrastructure for Spacelab missions and for the preparation of COLUMBUS user support. The possible application spectrum for Life Sciences ground facilities are described. The application field of an information system developed for microgravity research (ARIADNE) is shown.
