Abstract

First activities in the field of the measurement of dynamic derivatives started about 1965 within the former German research establishments AVA (Goettingen), DFL (Braunschweig), which have been associated to the DFVLR, now renamed to DLR. In 1972 the efforts have been intensified as a working group with members from the research establishments, industry, and universities to push the development of this technique under the auspices of the German Ministry of Research and Technology. This report tries to present most of these apparatuses with brief outlines of their operational methods and instrumentation.
