Abstract
Die Verbindung von Relativitaetstheorie mit der Rotation der Erde ist Thema der Arbeit. Auf die relativistische Formulierung der Theorie der Erdrotation wird eingegangen. Dazu werden die Grundgleichungen der Spinbewegung, die die freie Praezession der Erdkreiselachse beschreiben, aufgestellt. Probleme erzwungener Praezession und Nutation werden diskutiert. Ein hochgenaues Sagnac-Experiment wird vorgestellt, in dem mit Hilfe der Erdrotation verschiedene geophysikalische und relativistische Effekte nachgewiesen werden sollen.
