Kurzfassung

In this presentation, a combined experimental and numerical investigation of the flow field in the perforated test section of the Transonic Wind Tunnel Göttingen at M = 1.2 is presented. The focus of the investigation is on the flow through the perforation holes, and the effect of the perforation on the flow developing inside the test section. For this reason, the entire perforation pattern is explicitly resolved. To validate the numerical simulations, an extensive experimental characterisation of the flow field was performed. Overall, a satisfactory agreement between CFD and experiment was observed.
