Kurzfassung

As part of the DOSIS and DOSIS 3D experiment two identically manufactured DOSimetry TELescopes (DOSTELs) monitor the radiation environment within the Columbus laboratory on board the International Space Station (ISS). Both DOSTEL instruments provide the count- and dose rates with a high time resolution, i.e., 20 or 100 seconds, as well as Linear Energy Transfer (LET) spectra that are usually integrated over a half orbit, i.e., 45 minutes. The analysis of the current DOSTEL data shows that we are leaving the recent solar maximum behind and are beginning to transition into a new solar minimum phase. Yet, on November 11th we observed one of the largest Solar Energetic Particle (SEP) events of recent years. This event will be analyzed in more detail, followed by a summary of the dose contribution of all recent SEP events and also showing additional contributions from outer belt electrons over the years 2024 to 2026.

As an outlook into the near future, we present our work on a newly build DOSTEL3D instrument that consists of three perpendicular dosimetry telescopes. The biggest improvement, besides an increase in energy- and time resolution, is the integration of a sophisticated onboard computer that allows us to obtain and analyze DOSTEL3D in real-time.
