Kurzfassung
Human space exploration is extending beyond low Earth orbit toward long-duration deep space and lunar surface missions, increasing the need for sustainable life support systems. However, the successful deployment of advanced Bioregenerative Life Support Systems(BLSS) requires more than technical development alone, as their operation involves tightly coupled technical, human, and biological processes that must be planned and coordinated effectively. EDEN LUNA, a (semi-) closed-loop BLSS demonstrator for a higher plant production system in an analog environment, serves as a representative use case for this challenge. This paper addresses how these complex operational systems can be translated into a mission planning compatible form by developing an operational framework and an interface management process for integration into PintaOnweb, a web-based generic mission planning tool selected for this study. The proposed approach structures the activity taxonomy and defines the required planning attributes accordingly. The framework and interface process were instantiated in PintaOnWeb and assessed in an initial validation case, demonstrating implementation feasibility in an operational planning environment and providing a structured validation approach for future EDEN LUNA operations.
