Kurzfassung
The objective of this work is to develop and calibrate a parameterization of the heat- piping mechanism within the 1-D thermal evolution code TEMPURA. By systemat- ically comparing its predictions against 2-D thermal evolution simulations from the GAIA code, we evaluate the reliability of this reduced formulation across Mercury, the Moon, Mars, and Venus. The benchmarking explores distinct magmatic scenar- ios alongside variations in intensive parameters like initial temperature and reference viscosity. The 1-D parameterized approach successfully reproduces its 2-D dynamic counterparts regarding large-scale thermal structures and long-term secular cooling. However, systematic structural limitations emerge from horizontal averaging, result- ing in artificially prolonged magmatic durations. Furthermore, sensitivity analyses on key parameters reveal that while initial mantle temperature primarily dictates early melt volumes, reference viscosity permanently alters long-term thermal trajectories, inducing unique size-dependent feedbacks.
