Kurzfassung
In an effort to further reduce electricity generation costs in solar tower power plants, research is being conducted on the digitalisation and interconnection of power plant components. The Jülich solar tower, a large-scale research facility owned by the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft und Raumfahrt e.V., is currently conducting research to determine how a digital transformation of the industrial facility can promote safe and efficient operation and maintenance. The data platform is a critical element of this project as it serves as a repository for simulation and measurement data, and as such, it is critical that the system has the capacity to store large volumes of data. Complex data handling must be monitored and analysed for this purpose; among other things, hardware and software components must undergo real-time diagnostics and error detection measures must be taken to ensure the safe operation of the power plant. Measurement and monitoring of the efficiency of the various hardware and software components are indispensable for guaranteeing the researcher's an optimal working environment. This project is concerned with researching the possibilities for real-time monitoring and historical data analysis and implementing a suitable automated platform for a big data infrastructure at the solar tower power plant in Jülich.
