Kurzfassung
The design of complex system architectures requires early exploration of large design spaces under structural and performance constraints. This paper presents an approach for formulating and solving system architecture generation problems using SysML v2, integrated within Simcenter Studio as an executable modeling environment. A SysML v2 language extension is introduced to capture architectural variability, connectivity constraints, and design-space definitions, enabling constraint-based synthesis and evaluation of candidate architectures. The approach is demonstrated through a hybrid electric aircraft example, where range calculations are encoded as executable SysML v2 expressions and evaluated against feasibility constraints. The results illustrate how SysML v2 can serve as a foundation for digitization, automation and collaborative engineering.
