Kurzfassung
The concept of Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) was established in the 1970s in the aerospace domain to estimate the maturity of technology. Today, we see increasing use of this concept in research. The application of TRLs to research software specifically is challenging, as a single research software may be associated with more than one TRL at once. Additionally, these TRLs may follow different definitions. To resolve these challenges and avoid ambiguity, we propose a context-aware mapping approach for TRL determination.
