Abstract
The presentation contains 2 parts. Part 1 gives an overview about the results DLR has achieved in reducing the source noise on an Airbus A320 in flight tests with its ATRA research aircraft in the frame of the DLR project LN-ATRA. Part 2 is on the physics of aerodynamic sound, in particular on originally unexpected phenomena which have been observed in the course of many applied research project at DLR.
