Abstract

This annotation guideline addresses tracking of vehicles in aerial image sequences. The goal is to build a data set for training of AI-based algorithms for tracking of vehicles. The guideline features motorized road transport vehicles in aerial image sequences throughout Germany (non-orthorectified images in JPG format, one folder per sequence). The vehicles are tracked during a sequence with the same ID, the labeling is done by oriented bounding boxes (OBB). In addition, the vehicles are classified according to the so-called 8+1 classification scheme defined by the German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt). Attributes enrich the application scenarios for the dataset.
