Abstract

This study delves into an innovative concept that integrates a high-temperature air-based CSP system with redox oxides-based thermochemical energy storage (TCES). The concept, developed within the European research project ABraytCSPfuture, is evaluated through a detailed economic analysis, demonstrating competitive LCOE and highlighting the potential of TCES for dispatchable renewable electricity.
