Abstract

Diese Arbeit untersucht die Korrelation zwischen Oberflächenrekonstruktion und katalytischer Aktivität bei der Sauerstoffentwicklungsreaktion (OER) an Nickeloxid-Elektrokatalysatoren in alkalischen Medien. Es wurde ein Modellsystem aus Nickeloxid mit vorwiegend (111)-Oberfläche verwendet, um die Oberflächenrekonstruktion und die katalytische Aktivität zu untersuchen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Einbringung von Eisen in das Nickeloxid zu einer deutlichen Verbesserung der OER-Leistung führt, ohne dass eine umfassende Oberflächenrekonstruktion in NiOOH erforderlich ist. Die Arbeit liefert Empfehlungen für zuverlässige elektrochemische Tests und ex-situ-spektroskopische Charakterisierung von OER-Elektrokatalysatoren in alkalischen Lösungen und trägt zum Verständnis von Ni-basierten OER-Elektrokatalysatoren in alkalischen Medien bei. Die Ergebnisse haben Implikationen für die Entwicklung von effizienten OER-Elektrokatalysatoren für die Anionenaustauschmembran-Wasserelektrolyse-Technologie.
