Kurzfassung
As a part of the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), the CAMS Radiation Service (CRS) provides open-data historical irradiance estimates at ground level retrieved from satellite images. In the latest version of the CRS (v4.6), the Himawari geostationary satellite was added to the operational chain of the CRS. The Himawari sub-satellite point is located at a longitude of 140.7E and has a Field Of View (FOV) of ±78.3°, which extends CRS from 62.4E to 141W. The images from the Himawari geostationary satellite are used along with the atmospheric conditions retrieved from the CAMS Reanalysis on the Heliosat4 method to produce estimates of irradiance at ground level (Schroedter-Homscheidt et al., 2022). These irradiance estimates are operationally available in the CRS from the year 2016 until two days before the current date. In this presentation we show to the general public the products of the CAMS radiation service v4.6 and give some insights on the methodologies behind the producs
