Abstract

The scramjet geometry used for the HyShot flight tests was tested with 1:1 scaling in the HEG shock tunnel at test conditions corresponding to Mach 7.8 flight at 28km and 33km altitude. The paper compares pressure distributions over the model with those taken in flight, and shows heat flux distributions.
