In this paper, monopoles installed on an airframe are analyzed using different discretization criteria, as well as different numerical techniques. First, monopoles installed on a commercial aircraft are analyzed when operating at VHF frequencies (Communications Antennas). Then, using asymptotic techniques, antennas operating at 1 GHz (Air Traffic Control Antennas), installed on the same aircraft, are analyzed. Comparisons between predicted and measured results are shown and discussed along the paper.
