Abstract

The paper describes the development process and characterization of porous structures made of the superalloy VDM780, manufactured via the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LBPF) route. Samples with different manufacturing parameters, resulting in different porosities were investigated in terms of through-flow characteristics, identifying the influence on the pressure loss. Furthermore, the outflow characteristics of the porous material were investigated in order to assess the homogeneity of the developed material.
