Active Control of Aeroelastic Systems - An Overview

Abstract

This presentation explores the growing interest in applying control techniques to aeroelastic systems, focusing on their potential to address current or future challenges in aeroelasticity. It provide a comprehensive summary of the key modeling steps required to render a typical aeroelastic system suitable for control design. The lecture concludes with the presentation of experimental results from two case studies: a "Gust Load Alleviation" test and a "Damping Augmentation via Control" test.
