Kurzfassung
We provide a textured surface mesh of the DLR Moon Mars test site in four different resolutions. The test site model can be used to test mobile robots and their algorithms in simulation. The data has been obtained using a Zoller and Fröhlich Flexscan 22 mobile mapping SLAM platform and the mesh has been generated from point cloud data using Agisoft Metashape software. The DLR Moon-Mars test site is a test facility for robotic planetary exploration at the DLR site in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. On 1500 m², it provides a large number of geological features like a crater, two hills, small tunnels, crevasses, as well as boulders and gravel of multiple relevant materials. The test site provides power and network connectivity, a 26 camera Vicon system for ground truth measurement and access to the workshops and infrastructure of DLR's Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, and thus facilitates rapid testing throughout the development process of robots built for planetary exploration.
