Abstract

This scientific study focuses on the quantitative modeling of sectoral pathways based on Mexico's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the actions needed to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement. Mexico's NDC was launched in November 2022 under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and aims to reduce net greenhouse gas emissions by up to 35% by 2030, of which 30% will come from national sources. and an additional 5% will come from international support. This Master Thesis critically assess the qualitative and quantitative information of potential mitigation actions in each sector in order to formulate sectoral pathways in the context of global efforts to combat climatechange. It analyzes the current requirements and restrictions to provide valuableinformation despite existent data and time challenges
