Abstract

Carnot batteries offer a versatile energy storage solution with significant potential for integrating renewable energy and stabilizing power grids. They store electrical and thermal energy using media such as salts, solids, and phase change materials at temperatures from 100°C to 1200°C. This Keynote highlights current developments and future prospects.
