Kurzfassung
In this article the design and the method for an experimental setup to investigate the heat transfer of eddy current brakes with anisotropic structure is presented. In order to determine the heat transfer coefficient, the wall temperature is calculated using the temperature-dependent electrical resistance. The heat is induced by Joule heating. A coupled 3D multiphysics single flow simulation setup is used to investigate the temperature profile along the length. With this method it is possible to design and set up an experiment to investigate the flow boiling heat transfer coefficient in a eddy current brake with anisotropic material structure.
