Kurzfassung
This paper deals with a comparison between a phase-shifted full-bridge topology and a full-bridge LLC topology for a contactless energy transfer system to supply the rotor of an electrically excited synchronous machine (EESM) for an electric vehicle (EV). The consideration is based on the special requirements of the application and on the use of the widebandgap semiconductor material gallium nitride (GaN). An operating point analysis of the electric machine in the WLTP cycle serves as the reference for the required transformer power. The comparison is carried out on the basis of component evaluations, simulations and measurements on a test arrangement.
