Kurzfassung
The thesis, part of the Technical University of Munich Georg Nemetschek Institute-funded "OBACHT" project at the Chair of Traffic Engineering and Control, introduces a Public Transport Infrastructure Control System (PT-ICS) that integrates Collective Perception Systems (CPS) into automated public transport. The PT-ICS addresses the limitations of current automated systems by extending perception capabilities beyond individual vehicle sensors. This enhancement improves detection and response to Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs) and mobility-impaired individuals in complex urban environments, which is crucial for increasing safety, inclusivity, and efficiency in urban mobility.
