Abstract
This paper intends to analyse autonomous and unmanned shipping from a transdisciplinary perspective and through the prism of COLREGs, ingling out a few elements: situational awareness, night-time navigation and good seamanship. The emphasis will be put on regulatory requirements applicable to such aspects as well as the technical challenges derived therefrom.
