Abstract
The project aims to enhance solar energetic particle (SEP) event forecasting by integrating remote sensing techniques into the Relativistic Electron Alert System for Exploration (REleASE). The research focuses on correlating microwave radiation from solar flares with proton and electron fluxes detected by the SOHO/EPHIN instrument. The analysis explores the relationship between microwave burst characteristics and SEP fluxes, with a focus on identifying patterns that improve event prediction accuracy. Results show a quite significant correlation for microwave fluences and both electron and proton peak fluxes.
