Abstract
In Europe, the integration of rocket launches and re-entry operations into the air traffic management framework presents significant challenges. To address these, the German Aerospace Center (DLR), through the Spacetracks project, has developed the Launch Coordination Center. This initiative aims to facilitate the coordination and monitoring of space launch and re-entry activities by creating an operational concept supported by advanced software tools. These tools are designed to improve communication and planning between space companies, air traffic control, and other key stakeholders. This presentation provides an overview of the current status of these development efforts, with a particular focus on the software solutions tailored for upcoming launch events. Additionally, it discusses future plans to apply these developments to the broader European air traffic network management. The solution not only meets immediate operational requirements but also contributes to the long-term goal of integrating space operations within the larger airspace management system, highlighting potential areas for further innovation and seamless operational integration.
