Abstract

Hybrid power plants combining Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) and Photovoltaic (PV) technologies leverage the strengths of both systems to provide cost-effective and dispatchable solar electricity. While PV is efficient for daytime electricity generation, CSP complements it with thermal storage, enabling power supply after sunset at lower costs compared to standalone PV systems with batteries. This synergy is especially valuable for meeting nighttime energy demands or ensuring continuous power supply in remote industrial applications.
