Mechanisms of Vibration and BVI Noise Reduction by Higher Harmonic Control

Kube, Roland and van der Wall, Berend G. and Schultz, Klaus-J. (1994) Mechanisms of Vibration and BVI Noise Reduction by Higher Harmonic Control. 20th European Rotorcraft Forum, 1994-10-4 - 1994-10-7, Amsterdam (NL).

Abstract

The sources of helicopter rotor vibration and noise are presented and the mechnisms of higher harmonic blade pitch control to reduce vibration and noise are explained using experimental data from a wind tunnel test with the Bo 105 model rotor. Rotor simulation results are shown for validation.
