Abstract

Thermographic measurement methods can be used to visualize flow conditions, such as laminar and turbulent areas, on a model surface to be investigated. Infrared and temperature-sensitive paint (TSP) measurement methods have been used successfully in aerodynamics for many years. This is the first report on the successful application of the TSP measurement technique for the investigation of a hull model of naval interest. These investigations are currently taking place in the recirculating water channel at CNR-INM HQ in Rome.
