Abstract

The Exploration Company (TEC) aims to build a reusable spacecraft called Nyx to to serve low earth orbit and lunar stations. Nyx, in its lunar version, is set to is set to be powered by a liquid oxygen/bio-methane liquid rocket engine. The German Aerospace Center (DLR) Institute of Space Propulsion, in cooperation with TEC, is involved in developing and testing the engine’s main injector head. In the frame of this work, the initial design and development process as well as results from single element up to full scale injector testing are presented.
