Abstract

In this article we present an experimental investigation of thermal comfort for an air curtain ventilation that fulfils the requirements for electric and autonomous vehicles. The main objective of this study is to develop a localised, individualised, energy-efficient ventilation with increased thermal comfort. In addition, the air curtain provides a barrier to reduce the spread of contaminants. Furthermore, the results are analysed using a new heuristic approach to evaluate heat transfer and thermal comfort
