Kurzfassung
This talk introduces <a href=\"https://gitlab.com/deploy2zenodo/deploy2zenodo\">deploy2zenodo</a>, a tool that automates the process of publishing data to the open repository Zenodo. The talk starts on the Life Cycle of Research Data and aims to make data accessible and citable, adhering to the FAIR principles.</p><p>The presentation covers the <a href=\"https://gitlab.com/dlr-pa/riaf\">riaf</a> environment, which accommodates files using gitolite or GitLab as versioning servers and git-annex or Git LFS as git extensions. The riaf environment includes tools like fuse_git_bare_fs, fuse_gitlab_fs, gitolite_web_interface, and pydabu for describing, validating JSON, and mapping some ssh functions to http(s).</p><p>The deploy2zenodo tool is designed to bridge the gap between software versioning platforms and Zenodo by providing automation for data publication. The tool can be integrated into CI/CD workflows and supports various platforms (e. g. GitHub, GitLab, Gitea) and repository types (e. g. code, data, container). It offers flexible curation options, enabling data curation in merge requests, the Zenodo web interface, or no curation at all. The tool ensures that data is openly accessible, providing a persistent identifier for proper citation and discovery.</p><p>In summary, the presentation introduces deploy2zenodo as a flexible solution for automated data publishing, emphasizing its role in adhering to the FAIR principles and providing a means for accessible, citable, and versioned data within the riaf environment.
