Abstract
Das Paper beschreibt die Entwicklung der Shutter-Mechanismen, die ein Subsystem des Rovers IDEFIX für die Martian Moons Exploration Mission (MMX) darstellen, betrieben von ISIS/JAXA. Der Rover, entworfen von DLR und CNES, soll 2026 auf Phobos landen und wissenschaftliche Experimente durchführen. Die Shutter schützen empfindliche Instrumente während der unkontrollierten Landung vor Staub und mechanischen Einwirkungen. Das Design der Shutter wurde so entwickelt, dass es möglichst einheitlich ist, um Testaufwand und Risiken zu minimieren. Das Paper geht neben der Beschreibung des Designs auch auf den Qualifikationsprozess des Subsystems ein.
