Flexible Integration and Fleet Management of On Demand Shuttles in Gaia-X Ecosystem

Abstract

The seamless integration of small and individual on demand shuttle fleets in existing public transport systems is a big technical and organisation task today. Here we describe an architecture, which is using the Gaia-X ecosystem and allows public transport service provider to easily describe and publish their needs for additional on demand shuttles. Shuttle fleet-provider can easily access and review the required fleet-jobs and sign them with smart contracting and carry them out as part of the common public transport system. We accompany the descriptions with the public transport scenario in general, the functional blocks, the overall system architecture and the relationship to the Gaia-X federation services ecosystem.
