Abstract

Monitoring soiling levels at many positions in the solar field can help to optimise cleaning schedules and reduce resources invested. Image-based methods, such as the one presented in this work, are currently being developed. In this study, we present a drone-image-based measurement approach capable of providing spatially resolved information on the soiling losses across the entire solar field. The method is applied during the plant operation in sunny conditions using a commercially available drone.
