Abstract

Temperature measurements using temperature sensitive paint: + Works realiably + High spatial resolution + Sufficient temporal resolution + Temperature resolution < 50 mK - Only measurements at boundaries possible Temperature reconstruction from 3d-velocity measurements: + Volumetric 3d temperature field + Spatio temporal resolution given by velocity measurements + Works reliably for DNS - Not (quite) applicable for experimental measurements
