Abstract

Within DIAL / LOKI projects artificial intelligence (AI) should be used for implementing a digital ATCO. This digital ATCO will work together with a human controller in a team and therefore needs the same understanding of actual and future traffic situations. This leads to the necessity to have a shared or team situation awareness (SA). In this document the SA background is explained and first tools created to enhance the SA of a digital controller are introduced.
